1950s women's costume
50s costume for women – retro dress with a belt, based on the classic 1950s feminine silhouette. The flared dress shape and cinched waist are associated with rock and roll, pin-up, and American diner aesthetics, so the model is not tied to one specific movie character.
The dress has a fitted top and a wide, bell-shaped bottom, reaching mid-calf. A wide belt is worn at the waist, cinching it and separating the upper part of the dress from the wide lower part. Material composition: 70% polyester and 30% polyurethane, so the fabric fits tightly and holds its shape well when moving or dancing, not losing its shape throughout the evening. Such a silhouette is also great for a group theme, when several participants choose the style of the same decade, but dresses in different colors. Such a flared dress shape was typical of many 1950s women's everyday and festive clothing, when the skirt often flared out widely and beautifully during movement.
The 50s costume for women is offered in several adult sizes, so it is recommended to choose a size according to the supplier's size chart, rather than usual everyday clothing dimensions, as the retro cut differs from the modern one. The wig, glasses, and other accessories seen in the photos are purchased separately, depending on the desired overall look and occasion.

Why choose this 50s costume for women?
The center of this model is the classic dress and belt proportions, so the costume is easily adapted to different themes of that period. It can be styled as rock and roll, pin-up, or diner party clothing, but the costume itself remains neutral with respect to a specific character. The chosen wig, glasses, or neck scarf allow you to change the final direction without changing the dress, so one costume can be adapted for several different occasions without additional purchases.

How to clean the costume?
Remove light dirt from the surface only. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth with a small amount of mild detergent. Do not rub the fabric hard or soak it.
How to remove sweat marks and odour?
After wearing, turn the costume inside out. Gently wipe the armpit, neck and other areas that touch the skin with a well-wrung damp cloth and a small amount of mild detergent. Then wipe with a clean damp cloth and let it dry completely in a well-ventilated place.
After each wear, air the costume well before putting it back in the wardrobe.
Avoid vinegar, baking soda, alcohol-based products, strong stain removers, disinfectant sprays and steamers, as they can damage the fabric, print, glued or decorative details.
